Where are the computer gears located? In a 2000 S-Type Jaguar?
my car is going into “Failsafe Engine Mode” which i was researching on and i was told that it might be the computer gears that are not connected properly. Anyhow i would like to check it myself before taking it to a mechanic and getting charged for something that i cold probably do myself!

They are next to the mud valves, just under the voltage capsule. You have to remove the turn signal fluid tank to get to it, and there should be two escalator clips you have to remove.
